@zee I found the topics stuff fairly interesting. Good to see backing evidence and also how hard everyone else found specific topics. Matches well to how I found it actually, with a few exceptions such as Alternative Investments.

The section on ‘when to start studying’ was really helpful as well!

Agree with @zee, order doesn’t really matter, hence I went chronological. I did leave Ethics till last as I’d probably forget them quicker.

No problem @Mr_Excel – we did wish we knew these little insights back in the days when we took ours exams! Things were tougher without 300hours 😉 We hope you find it useful!

I’m not sure if order matters – for L2 it’s key to make sure you cover your topics early then start hammering out practice exams. L2 calculations are quite long and tough so they’ll require quite a bit of practice.

We cover this in more detail in our CFA Analysis Report (http://www.300hours.com/cfa-results-analysis.html), but in general there are some make-or-break topics (i.e. make sure you properly master these). These account for 25% of the exam.
        • Derivatives
        • Economics
        • Portfolio Management
        • Quantitative Methods

Then you have huge, huge topics which make up 50% of the exam:
        • Corporate Finance
        • FRA
        • Equity Investments

Cover these early and you should be well on your way. Good luck!

Topics are fairly interesting but I do advise people to read derivatives before reading fixed income. As most of the times it’s easier if you have some fresh review of options and trees ;). Order does matters 😛
