Which study material did you use?

I used both schweser and elan for Level I and just elan for Level II.

For level I, i found the practice questions offered by elan better than Qbank of schweser. They were tough and conceptual and very much exam-like so to speak. I wasted a pretty good bit of my time early on in doing Qbank but then i switched. The study guides were more or less same of both the providers. Didn’t watch any videos.

For level 2, i just used study guides of elan and their selected videos. Elan’s readings of FRA and FI were simply brilliantly written and recorded. I also practiced like crazy and solved all the CFAI EOCs twice.

Sometimes I’m not feeling it with one provider. Here is the material I use per topic:

FRA –allen, irfanullah
CF –allen, irfanullah
QUANT –allen, irfanullah
ECON — cfai, analystnotes
PM –cfai, allen
FI –irfanullah, allen
EQ, DERIV, AI –cfai, irfanullah
ETHICS — cfai, elan

@microeconomist wow that’s a lot of specialization!

@Zee at first I bought prep materials because my pen would go right THROUGH the el-cheapo CFAI razor-thin pages. RAGEQUIT! Then, I kept ordering to see who had the best lectures –it quickly got out of hand. I figure if I’m going to take this test twice, I might as well have it all on one shelf. haha

@psh33942 some providers lack in certain areas. However, Allan’s audio lectures are the best of the lot (along with its FRA problem set videos).

OK, back to reviewing accounting fictions & bond legalese.
