The Options Industry Council and CFA Society Idaho are hosting a two-part series for Level 1 candidates about options. This series is specifically designed to cover the critical concepts for Level 1 candidates. Sessions are April 21 and April 28 at 2:30 p.m. Mountain. Register here: https://event.on24.com/eventRegistration/EventLobbyServlet?target=reg20.jsp&referrer=&eventid=3030697&sessionid=1&key=F0EAE52E852DB51B5EAC39941848709D®Tag=2121903&V2=false&sourcepage=register
Each session will include 40 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes of Q&A. Topics are based directly on the Level 1 curriculum and will include the basics of calls and puts, key options terms, the difference between European and American options, pricing models, historical vs. implied volatility, and put-call parity.
The sessions will be taught by Ed Modla, Principal of Investor Education at OIC, and Ken Keating, Associate Principal, Investor Education at OIC. Mr. Modla is a former options market maker and Mr. Keating is a former options portfolio manager.
Please register if you think this might be of use to you, and share word with any colleagues who are also sitting for Level 1 in May.
This series is complimentary. It is being offered by CFA Society Idaho as part of our commitment to support candidates and by OIC as part of their remit to provide education about options to investors. It is open to candidates and to any charterholder who wants a refresher about options.

As far as I know non-members globally can and have registered. I’m not sure about recordings – @cfasocietyidaho?

Thanks for this!
- Is this available to non members? I’m assuming since this is online it’s also open globally.
- Will there be a recording made available to registrants after the webinar?
