Hello everyone,
I am afraid of the CFA 1, I studied business administration but have always worked as a business developer of big power plants.
However, now I want to switch to investment banking (power utilities).
I just bought the Mark Meldrum CFA 1 premium package 2021, I am thinking of taking the exam in November 2021; I have a minor in finance and accounting, but being realistic I do not remember anything about those aspects.
Do I have any possibility of passing clearly the exam with only Mark Meldrum package? I have just seen the first video of Mark Meldrum of Quants.. and I saw it difficult, I understand like 70% of the aspects only.
Some help?
Kind regards.

hi there, i haven’t used MM’s stuff for level 1, but heard good things about it.
as long as his study materials is complete/independent, you should be able to pass only with that package, just like kaplan’s.
if you’re concerned about passing, it’s always good to start early. 6 months is a recommended minimum, but you can start earlier and slowly ramp up if preferred – 10 months now to november seems reasonable.
you don’t need a background in finance for learning and passing cfa, but it does take more effort to grasp new concepts.

Sorry but I have just seen that it’s against the policy. I might be not interested. I will pool in and buy new one myself
