Hi everybody. I just signed up to 300hours and have begun studying for CFA Level 1 Dec 2016. Good luck to all who are writing in June, and to us that will be writing in December! I hope to become more involved in this forum as I begin to learn more and more.

Also just started studying for the Level 1 Dec exam. What does everyone think about just using Kaplan books for study?

Guys..I would like to share my experience about L1 preparation. I really struggled when I was referring other materials like Wiley and Schweser but then I started preparing from Irfanullah video lectures. Trust me it did wonders for me. I made my life so easy. I was really depressed with my preparation but Irfanullah sir really helped me.
Actually his lectures are really costly but I got complete series for 1500-2500(usually costs more than 15000–20000). You guys can also contact following email if you need those lectures for really cheap price – irfanullah.cfa@gmail.com.
All the best guys 🙂 -

For level 1 and 2 all you need is Schweser. As long as you know their material very well you will be fine.

FRA – keep calm and practice the shit out of it. Practice papers help, and Qbanks as well. It’s normal to score low at the start.

CFA is very easy to crack with good dedication and channelized efforts. If you make a good study plan and stick to it, nothing is going to impossible to work along. CFA preparation can either be offline, i.e)self study or classes or online i.e) by taking online classes or courses. Both the media are equally good but you definitely need to make the best of both. The syllabus for CFA is huge and is very tough to deal with if your a working professional. You need to have the right kind of balance with your study and work environment. You definitely need to have a solid plan before you start your preparation. Here are some tips which can help you during the preparation:
Prepare Intelligently
Don’t leave any topic
Use CBOK
Learn to use the calculator wisely
Strategize your preparation
Manage distractions
Practice! Practice!!!
Keep track of time while preparing
Consistency
Pamper Yourself! EAT healthy.
You can refer to these online courses also during your prep:
goo.gl/Xaivrs-> This will help you understand CFA structure and the exam itself completely.goo.gl/1SRaHP-> This helps you to master Portfolio Management from scratch.
All the best!!
