I’m doing this with 2013 Schweser materials for Level 3, so I think you can use 2014 materials for Level 1 as well. Compare the 2014 study sessions and los’s with with the 2015 lists; most in 2015 will be the same and you can use the 2014 Schweser materials for those sections. Use the CFA materials for new sections (which shouldn’t be too extensive).

Up::3Maverick said:@bigdreams‌ Can you elaborate a bit more? When you register for the June 2015 exam, you automatically receive the CFAI June 2015 curriculum in e-format. Therefore, why would you want to study with 2014 material?
I’d imagine that the study material doesn’t change a huge amount in 6 months, but there will be some edits, changes, corrections and (if there have been any) new additions and concepts / models that have been developed and recognized by the CFAI.Are you talking about studying with some 2014 material that you’ve managed to acquire, before you register for the 2015 exam?
The reason I’m asking is because I gort trigger happy and purchased the 2014 Kaplan Schweser study materials. I then found out I was pregnant and with the morning sickness that I went through there was no way I was going to be able to make up for lost time to sit for the Dec 2014 exam. Do you think that once I register for the June 2015 exam I’ll be able to just use their materials that they provide to study?

@bigdreams‌
Sorry to hear about the interruption in your studying. It takes a lot of work for your body to make a whole other person from scratch. Its totally worth it though! I hope the pregnancy and birth goes well!Here’s a list of the changes for June 2015. There’s enough changes to where you’d want to read through the sections in the CFA material if you are keeping your 2014 prep materials. Hope that’s helpful!

@bigdreams, the exams do
change on a yearly basis. They may change dramatically; they may not change
much at all.See this:
http://post.nyssa.org/nyssa-news/2011/10/can-i-reuse-study-materials-for-the-cfa-exam.htmlIt’s up to you. The best course of action would be to use study materials for
the year you take the exam. More experienced members of this site will be able
to provide clearer guidance on this issue. -

You’ll get the CFAI materials when you register for June 2015. I’d start with the 2014 Schweser materials for now and then compare the content with the CFAI 2015 materials once you get them. If you see a lot of changes, you can then get the 2015 Schweser materials. However, do this if you are planning to register for the June 2015 early. If you are planning on registering last minute, then consider getting the 2015 Schweser first.
