Hi, how about if I wish to update my resume with just over CFA level 1 examination in Jun 2013 and pending for result? Is it right to state “CFA Level 1 Candidate” in my resume?

@Chris also, keep in mind, once (not IF hopefully) 🙂 you pass the Level 1 exam, you may state “Passed the Level 1 CFA exam” or something to that effect. However, you can only call yourself “CFA Level 2 candidate” after registering with the institute for Level 2. I have seen several individuals in my area who have made this mistake (which is funny because that scenario could potentially be on the Level 1 exam lol). Just a friendly reminder, as we will be finding out soon!

“…..CFA Program Candidates
If you are a candidate in the CFA Program, you may make reference to this in the Education section of your profile. You are considered a candidate in the CFA Program if your enrollment in the CFA Program has been accepted by CFA Institute, and you are registered to sit for a specified exam, or you have completed a specific exam but have not yet received your results. Indicate your status as a candidate based on the exam level you are next scheduled to take:•2013 Level I Candidate in the CFA Program
•2013 Level II Candidate in the CFA Program
•2013 Level III Candidate in the CFA Program
or the level you have completed:•Passed Level II of the CFA Program
If you have completed all three levels of the CFA Program, but have not completed the work experience requirement, you may state:•Passed all three levels of the CFA Program and may be awarded the charter upon completion of the required work experience.
Do not use your candidacy in the Heading of your profile. Do not indicate an “Expected” date.” -
