Hello all and happy new year,
I would just like to ask a quick one: Does working in a Big Four firm in a Financial Advisory position (but without providing financial advice) qualify as work experience towards obtaining the CFA charter?

Yes, I’m quite certain it does. You’ll still have to clearly make your case when you apply I think, but I have many friends who are in Big 4 and have qualified for work experience.

I think most of the people worry too much on this front, but trust me the CFA institute requires more members anyways.I haven’t seen that deep scrutiny ever. Just make sure to explain how your advise helps in decision making
