So I have an interview with an international bank for the position of Credit Analyst and was wondering if the work qualifies as relevant work experience with regards to the requisite for the CFA charter.
Basically the job involves analyzing the financial statements of companies that have applied for loans to the bank and producing reports based on that. I won’t be taking decisions myself but will be reporting to Senior Analysts who take the direct decisions.
Anyways I would just like to know if this qualifies as relevant work experience for the charter.

@RoyD
From what I understand, yes. The important point is that your work is contributing towards investment / financing decisions, in which case this sounds like it does!

It’s 3 references of any people, but only 2 if one of them is a charterholder and local society member. I think one of them should be your direct supervisor, but this is not required.

@hairyfairy well yeah the work I do should lead to decisions on whether or not to sanction loans so I think it’s good. Thanks.

Hey @paulpassedtense one of my friends was saying that I need 3 references and 2 of them have to be from Charterholders. Is this true because I don’t have any charterholders as of now in my workplace. Most of them associated with the CFAI are candidates like me.
