Hi all. Took L3 this year and failed..again. Been doing this program for so long I doubt anyone else who started when I did is still doing it …either passed or gave up. #Frustrating
Up3This is probably my 7th yes 7th attempt at this level and still not able to be successful which I find very hard to believe. I agree Schweser has some gaps. Last year was my first attempt at using text only and I felt much better prepared. The exam didnt seem hard either. There were no WTF questions. So I am very stumped by my WTF results. It is very strange that so many intelligent people take these exams, and supposedly the creme de la creme arrive to L3 and still there are such low passing rates. On a consistent basis only about 3/10 or 4/10 people (assumed to be fairly smart and all read the same material and put in the time)…but on average only 4 out of 10 pass? A lot more transparency is needed in this exam. Its way too secretive. You dont see exactly where you went wrong…they say the details aren’t published to keep the level of exam quality at a rigorous standard (not word for word but thats pretty close). Ive come this far in sitting the 3 levels all these years. ..but I must say…its becoming utterly frustrating.
Up3I know exactly how you feel @malborian. If its any comfort to you…this is my 7th time taking this level so dont feel too bad n dont give up. 10 is good. A few people that responded received 10s too…I was in the band 6.

Up0Hi MattyJ not yet. I will in a bit. I dont find them too helpful in the past though, because the answers are very broad n lengthy at times to ensure an all encompassing way of viewing possible answers. When I look at the answers, time allotted and point value it would infer at times that if one stuck with the command words you’d be ok. I definitely tried this approach this year, paying close attention to command words and points that’ll be awarded. Nevertheless I will take a read of the as answer key. Thanks.
