In general, I think the level of difficulty was fair. But much harder than level I. In level I I finished both session within the first hour and had time to redo everything once before I walked out at the 2 hr mark (not that I’m good or anything, just that as a graduate student I could devote more time than most to the CFA exam). The level II exam took almost 2.5 hours. I only had time to go through the questions that I had doubts about before time was called. I think it’s a combination of more materials and the fact that I had less time to prep for this exam as I took on a part time job aside from my graduate studies. This really made me respect and admire those in the program with a full time job and still manage to cope with the exam.
