What is the best way to study for probability concepts? I feel that I don't get which formula to use for what between joint probabilities, multiplication rules, etc....common probability distribution the Binomial tree. Argh!

Practice! Try the end of chapter questions after reading the notes, and that'll clearly show whether you grasped the concept at this stage or not. These are the easier questions usually, and later you can definitely try a few from the question banks.
