Unfortunately you can’t get the CFA charter until you get 4 years of relevant work experience – I think you can join as an associate member but can’t really call yourself “Dice Boy, CFA” until you are fully approved. 🙁

I think this depends on how you’ve written it in your application. I got one year of back-office experience approved so no problems for me there.

sir i am working as a CA working as a relationship manager in commercial banking business .handling high end clients with turnover over 400 crore. i carry out revenue generation , credit appraisal , relationship management. does it qualify for 4 years work experience ?

Is it possible that someone who passed all 3 levels of the CFA exams not get approved for the charter, simply because he/she only has 4 years’ working experience in a middle office/operational (back office) role in the financial industry? As in, not a role directly involved in the decision making process.
