The number of hours candidates dedicate to CFA Level 1 preparation varies, but the CFA Institute recommends approximately 300 hours of study.
Daily Study Time Recommendations
- If you’re studying over 6 months, aim for 1.5–2 hours per day (10–14 hours per week).
- If you have 4 months, increase to 2–3 hours per day (14–20 hours per week).
- If you’re on a 3-month schedule, expect to study 3–4 hours per day (20–25 hours per week).
