I’ve just signed up for the 2014 exam yesterday and realised that there have been some changes. They used to give you the option to purchase the printed copy with just an additional $20 on top of the $150 for the ebooks. So if you were to pay for the shipping you would get the hard copy instead of the eBook and never both.
However, this year it seems that you will get the eBook regardless and there’s a separate option to purchase the printed copy. The thing I’m not sure about is when you click on the “Purchase CFA Curriculum” link, it would take you to a page with the charges of $150 instead of just the extra $20 for the international shipping.
Am I doing something wrong here or CFAI is actually charging for both ebooks and the printed copy + shipping?

Thanks @AjFinance, you are right, that seems to be the case now! I heard many years ago CFAI books were not compulsory at all.

@vincentt CFAI have changed the rules this year. When you register, they provide you e book curriculum regardless of whether you want it or not. If you wish to order the print curriculum, you need to shell out 150$ and order it separately.
So you’re right, they are charging you for both ebooks and the printed copy.
