      The number of hours candidates dedicate to CFA Level 1 preparation varies, but the CFA Institute recommends approximately 300 hours of study.

      Daily Study Time Recommendations

      • If you’re studying over 6 months, aim for 1.5–2 hours per day (10–14 hours per week).
      • If you have 4 months, increase to 2–3 hours per day (14–20 hours per week).
      • If you’re on a 3-month schedule, expect to study 3–4 hours per day (20–25 hours per week).

        For the CFA Level 3 exam, the morning session consists of constructed response (essay) questions, while the afternoon session follows the multiple-choice item set format.
