Up4Yes, I am talking about the end of the chapter problem sets from the CFAI texts. I thought so. Good to hear that I’m not the only one who thinks that. Since they are from the CFAI, I would think that those problem sets are more useful in helping us prepare for the exam than the Schweser problem sets.
Up4@Pranav @CFAcharterwannabe I agree Pranav, it’s best to review and then do mocks again. It is hard to remember it all and you feel less lonely when you know others are going through a similar experience. I haven’t done a complete mock. Just 2 half exams but will do a full one tomorrow and a full one on Monday. Today I’m reviewing, reviewing, reviewing.

Up4I was fidgeting during the exam (second part) may be even gesturing to myself. I’ve been thinking about it ever since. What if that was misinterpreted by the proctors. Yikes!!!

Up3@CFAcharterwannabe @Pranav – I did 2 half exams (1 week apart). The second one didn’t go so well, I had to guess on many questions as I was running out of time. I suggest doing them under timed conditions. After the second 1/2 mock exam I felt sick and drained. I think this is one reason why you have to do the practice exams, so you get over the anxiety. I too have a hard time remembering stuff.

Up2@CFAcharterwannabe @Pranav – I noticed that the assessment questions on the CFAI site are much harder than the qbank questions on Schweser. I also noticed that it helps me to write things down rather than doing calcs in my head or directly on the calculator. Hope you guys are doing well.
Up2I couldn’t sleep the night before. May be I was nervous, may be I was upset about a piece of news I had received the Thursday before the exam. Whatever it was, I got only 4 hours of sleep and my mind was in a complete fog. How could this happen to me? 🙁 I answered all the questions but in slow motion. I can’t believe this happened. very disappointed and sad.
Up2I agree with that statement, RoyD and I hope that’s the case for Level II as well. I also get frustrated with myself because I made stupid mistakes like missing one piece of info or one time period. On the actual exam I will be more focused. 🙂
Up1My company doesn’t know I’m doing this since I didn’t tell them. I’m taking 2 days before the exam off and also 1 day in April that I would take off anyway. From what I read here I should be taking more time off. I’m still going through the material and plan on finish all of it beginning of May. Should I consider taking more time off?
Up1@CFAcharterwannabe Do you read the CFAImaterials too? I just do some of the problems and refer back to the materials to get a better understanding of the items I missed.
Up1I agree that everyone has their own style but it helps to get ideas from others. Good luck @CFAcharterwannabe and @Pranav! 🙂
