in reply to: Performance-related pay #81876Up::5
Hi,
The only thing is that I actually don’t like accounting 🙂 I never liked it during my studies… I applied for this job to have some finance-related experience, while studying for the level 1 exam.in reply to: Performance-related pay #81853Up::4Thank you, a lot of useful info here!
I think HF/portfolio manager is not an option at the early stage, but maybe you could tell what are the entry M&A and consulting job titles that I should look for?
As for consulting, to me it looks like a very broad field… where do investment consultants work? I just want to apply knowledge I gain by studying for CFA exams (and qualified work experience).in reply to: How to Study More in Less Time #80465Up::3Thanks for sharing the tips. Actually, in my case they wasn’t very helpful, maybe because I’m a super slow reader… No matter how long my study sessions are, it takes me 1 hour to read and understand 6-7 pages of the CFA curriculum. I tried to study 4 hours in a row and doing breaks every hour – results are the same. But perhaps my retention is better when I split my studies with breaks.
in reply to: Performance-related pay #81857Up::3Thanks!
I graduated last summer and currently work as an accountant. Actually, I fon’t like it very much, I interested in investments, that’s why I started the CFA program.
I believe I should look for something related to investment advisory or research…
in reply to: How to Study More in Less Time #80464Up::1Thanks, I was also leaning towards writing my name exactly as it appears on the passport, but I used member search on this page http://www.cfainstitute.org/community/membership/directory/Pages/index.aspx and found out that most of the names don’t have special characters…
in reply to: CFA curriculum in the PDF format #80373Up::1Thanks for your answers. I just wanted to have the exact same layout as the printed edition, but I think I’ll use Vitalsource stuff.
Thanks again!
in reply to: CFA + MSc in Marketing #81937Up::1Ideally, I would like to work in PWM as a private banker, so I thought a more diverse education could help…
