in reply to: CFA in 18 Months: How & Why I Did Level I #78137Up::4
Hello! It is indeed an inspiring post that motivates me to take up Level I which I had procrastinated for a long time. I need some advice here. Are the study materials from CFA Institute sufficient? or is Schweser (6 volumes) books a better alternative? Appreciate your feedback. thanks!
in reply to: CFA in 18 Months: How & Why I Did Level I #78172Up::4Thanks @Sophie for your advice. I went through the e curriculum and it is really lengthy, compared to Schweser’s notes which are less lengthy and more exam focused. My friend has Schweser for June 2014. However I plan to take December 2014. Can I share the notes with my friend although it is of different version? Will there be huge difference between the two?
in reply to: Auto pilot during the exam #81432Up::4I took it in Brussels and they have an ikea clock strapped on the white board. It looks like something got fixed up after a huge accident with white banners everywhere. I was engrossed with the questions and only have time to have a few quick glances on my wristwatch. did not bother to look up or noticed a few people coming in and out for toilet break. no time for recheck too. 3 hours is not enough for the 300 hours we put in.
in reply to: Any recommendation for Level II notes? #82684Up::4Thanks! Yup, self study and long working hours as well… need comprehensive notes that do not require a lot of cross reference with other materials.
