Hey @taco_enthusiast , I believe what you need to do is, compare the syllabus for both the years from the CFA curriculum and for the same topics I think you can use the 2013 material. But if there’s major change in content then it’s better to get a new set for 2014 buddy 🙂
Up::2@Sophie, I am a coffee addict, in fact I love it so much, I’ve made my husband an addict too :P..point is, we just passed CFA Level 1 and, atleast for my part, a lot of it I attribute to my coffee drinking habit. Right now, there’s really little time left (inspired by posts here, we’ve already registered for Level 2 :D) and I don’t want to experiment by withdrawing from coffee altogether. However, the results of your ‘experiment’ are so impressive that I’d love to try it out..so, can I tone it down a little (atleast for the time being) and cut it to 3-4 cups a week..please, please, please??? Do let me know if that works 🙂
Up::1@Brosephstalin , you have no idea how you’ve inspired me..I’ve started level 1 preps in good time last year, but for level 2, I’m yet to start and I was feeling jittery and at times helpless about the little time left..your post almost shook me up..I’m ready to take it on..and I’ve decided that every time I feel like giving up, I’m going to go through your post..hats off to you and thank you so very much!!!
in reply to: L2 Study Strategy #77985Up::1@Sophie , so you think it’s possible to go through the material without mastering the questions? I am having a tough time trying to cover all the questions for all the chapters from the Q-Bank actually, but I fear that if I only study and move on, I might not remember much when I come back :(. Personally, this time I’m pretty scared..there’s so much to do: I’ve finished (studying only once) portfolio management, fixed income, economics, half of equities, and bits and pieces of these: FRA, Alternative Investment, Corp Finance and Quant. Still, have a LOT to cover :'(
in reply to: L2 Study Strategy #77991Up::0@maroon5, @Vincentt, and @Edulima thanks for the suggestions..I guess I’ll try and strike a balance here and try to finish as much as I can by end of April, and will do a few questions (esp for harder concepts), just to make sure I’ve grasped it. It was really helpful of you guys to pitch in, as I was feeling a bit lost :)..
