Whoa! Just when I was thinking on relaxing next semester… I think I’m going for it (if I pass lvl 1)
Edit: ah… nevemind.. december 2014? 🙁
Edit2: well, you got me… got March fooled here (not april 1st yet)… lol
in reply to: Do you think you passed or failed? #74271in reply to: 2 Weeks Left? The Final Smart Prep CFA Strategy #76444Up::5Since I only had 2 months to study, I just finished reading my schweser syllabus. I have these two weeks to do practice exams: I have around 3 hrs to practice in a weekday after work, and the whole next weekend… I have all the lvl 1 mocks since 2009 and some 2012-2013 schweser mocks.
Any advice on which and how should I use my time?
Up::5…On a second thought, what I don’t really understand well are the tax base and the carrying value, and their respective implications… a hand please?
in reply to: What is DTA and DTL really? #67008Up::4I’m guessing that’s FRA. I will get to that part next weekend, and then I might be able to help you..
I suggest you move on and then visit it back after trying to resolve some questions from both the book and the other material you use. It has helped me greatly before (IS-ML curves…)
in reply to: Free Online Workshop for Level I Candidates #68245in reply to: Do you see yourself retiring in the future? #68576Up::4Oh yes. I love this, but there are so many other things I love beside working. Sports is a big one, I love volleyball, table tennis, tennis… other hobbies of mine include gaming, music (playing piano), waking up late, traveling, poker… I would still read news and manage my own money with the knogledge I would have gathered, but it would just be one of the things to do that make me happy.
edit: I do almost all of those (not much since I started the CFA though), but I would like to spend more time doing those instead of working… we’ve got to diversify, don’t we? 😛
in reply to: Do you see yourself retiring in the future? #68597Up::4@Diya I took some classes when I was about 8 y/o but didn’t pay much attention to them. Then at my university, I chose music as an alternative course and got 6 months of classes of piano and 6 of guitar.
I started loving piano more since I started with the CFA… listening to it almost every time I start studying (www.jango.com/stations/266643968)
Not practicing right now, but would love to :p

I don’t even have 500 contacts in facebook, and I used to accept a lot of friend invitations of people that didn’t know (for many years)… How do you manage to get 500 contacts?
in reply to: Study plan to retake level 1? #74530in reply to: Practice Exams #76428Up::4Hey @firefly. Yes that’s normal. Me and a friend are experiencing the same, you have to keep practicing and doing more mocks.
Here’s a torrent file with many past years oficial mocks for level 1: https://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/9243699
Good luck!
