Hi guys sorry if I’m posting in the wrong place but I seem to have made a mistake which is really stressing me out.
I inadvertently neglected to write my complete given name when I made my CFA institute account (haven’t registered for an exam yet) meaning it is not a 100% same as the one on my passport. When I was making my account I didn’t think it would be such a big deal until I learned that the account name would be on the admission ticket.
My question is that if I submit the name change form with a copy of my passport would it be enough or is other documentation required as well?
Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. Just contact the CFAI and they will provide you with step by step procedure

You’ll need to submit a name change for sure. Copy of passport is fine, as per guidance here. CFAI are quite fast with these so shouldn’t be any issues.

Did they ask you to provide anything other than a copy of your passport and the form? what steps did they give you?
Thanks.

I had to submit a copy of my passport and fill a simple pfd document with previous and changed information.
This process must be done at least 3 weeks before the exam, so I suggest that you do it as soon as possible to avoid any problems.
