Holy crap there’s only a month left. Where did all my revision time go?
Just did one practice exam over the weekend. I didn’t grade it properly, but I don’t think the score was good.
Was wondering where the other Level 1s were at in terms of revision…?

Hi @policedog, I’m a Level 1 too (there are others too like @shweb). In the same boat. Just managed to take the last week of work. I’m doing my first timed practice exam this weekend. Fingers crossed. Don’t expect it to be good either, but I just want to make sure I finish on time and attempted all the questions. First little goal

You’ll learn the most in this 1 month, so don’t worry about that. Just keep to the plan, drop by to say Hi, discuss questions or report your progress sometimes 🙂

I’m wrapping up revision today and will go at the practice exams tomorrow onwards! And yeah, i guess glancing through all the formulas just once before should add to it.
Don’t worry @policedog, @Maroon5, we have a month to re-inforce every concept possible and practice as much as we can!

Okay. So i’m done with sort of a second glance/revision through the curriculum with the help of the Elan guide and also quizzes from Schweser at the same time.
Now on to practice exams, i’m thinking i’ll follow @Diya’s advice yet again and do one session at a time. Which allows me 4 days to finish 2 exams in a week and the rest of the time to further revise/reinforce my weaker areas.
Though, i feel a little lost. I don’t know why, and i don’t feel like starting right away. Is that cool? Or should i be worried that i have just a month left and start asap?

@policedog – you’ve got 4 more weeks – that’s at least 8 practice exams dude!
You’ll beef up your understanding by loads in the last few weeks. Push on!

Do you guys actually iron out (as in to refresh forgotten formulas and concepts) all topics before hitting the practice exam or just go for it?

…eh
I spent a week and a half reviewing everything again before hitting a practice exam. -

@policedog I’m taking a week off. I’m lucky because my firm is quite happy to let me leave early(ish) leading up to the exams, so I’m getting a bit more done these weekdays…
I’ve done 2.5 practice exams – targeting 7 done with a bit more time to cram/review at the end.

It will be beneficial @policedog. But I suggest 2 weeks off before exam is the maximum. There is such thing as doing too much and burning yourself out. If you need more time, perhaps you can take an extra half week (so about 10 days off before exams). You’ll be able to do loads in that time

Ok sounds good. keep us posted @Sidmenon.
I’d say its just a nature of procrastination we all have, or fear of attempting or ‘officially being scored’, which is why you’re reluctant to start. Take a FULL day off for a break before you start, go do all the fun stuff you’ve been missing for a bit. And tomorrow you’ll be raring to go nail papers!
