Can you be properly prepared for the level 1 exam using the Kaplan Schweser essential package exclusively? Is it necessary to look at the CFA Institute material/questions/etc?

Thank you Sophie! I have been plugging away using the Kaplan materials exclusively and feeling good about it, but wasn’t sure if I was being naive. I am through quantitative methods and economics, and now halfway through FRA. I will look into doing EOC with CFAI material for more practice. I appreciate it!

Hey @archenoweth2 , yes you certainly can. I did this using Kaplan only, and didn’t really refer to CFA institute curriculum at all.
That said, the end of chapter (EOC) questions can be useful to practice on after completing each reading, just to make sure you are understanding the key points of each chapter. It’s free practice for materials you’ve already paid for – so it’s something we advise doing for practice.
