Any CFA Level 1s here?

Also throwing my hat in the ring. About the same as you @tacheman, feeling ok right about now. People tell me the panic sets in once you take your first practice exam…

Well, i am starting with the subjects that i failed in, which is econs and alt investments. After that i’ll move on to the other topics. I want to finish all topics thoroughly by April end so that i can use May just to practice exams. Any input would be appreciated 🙂

@sidmenon, that sounds pretty solid. From the words of wisdom I get here, it seems 1 month before of solid practice exams and last minute revision of weaker areas is the way to go.

Good stuff @james010, I feel the same too after the first round. Doing a quick round the recall some stuff. The practice papers are precious and I’ll leave them towards the last month.

@TacheMan, @hairyfairy, me too. Just got my books last month, now buried under books as we speak. Moral support needed!

I am writing it for the second time in June. I’m nothing but scared 🙁 I don’t know how i should change my approach to studying the material from the last time.

I feel at home here @Level 1, am I the only one who’s stressing too much…. I do not want to fail people!!

Sup people! I still have 300 hours to go. Just got my books today. I can feel my balls on the breaks of my pants.

M going for CFA level 1, Dec 2013. Done with Ethics and Economics. Next I think I will take up Quant. Any suggestion?

@abhishekkumar I was just thinking you were a bit behind, but then I saw ‘Dec 2013’. Dude you’re hardcore.

I’m studying for level 1 too. So far, I’ve only finished Quant and half of FRA (up to reading 29)

*virtual Level 1 high five* I left Quant Methods to the end so finishing up Econs here. Would be good to have a buddy to reach out to if I have issues. Let me know!

@TacheMan: Duude, sweating bullets!! I’m planning to take those TesTrac sample exams (cfa website) this month end, and mock exam soon…..that should generally gauge my “readiness”…

I’m doing level 1 in June. Have been through the whole course once but have completely forgotten/didn’t take in the first time huge sections so basically having to ramp up the intensity and study before during and after work, and at weekends. Borrowing the Kaplan stuff from a friend soon so hopefully can use that to clear up any problem areas.
