Where is your studying location of choice?

@diya if you are the kind who couldn’t concentrate when there’s noise then cafe wouldn’t be your place. I get distracted easily when i’m home. Apparently, I have plenty of other stuff to do when i’m about to start and then there goes half an hour. : :-O

@zee lol or what I experienced in the past when my colleagues would invite me for a ‘quick pine’ and one after another. Best to just reject and head home for books :-B

@sophie @diya the Beatz head phones are all the rage in London at the moment, see people wearing them all the time, it pretty much is the fashion! I bought some a few months back in the HMV sale, amazing quality!

I prefer home for the the reasons Zee posted but also for the following:
1) I have an awesome setup (btw I don’t study in my room so I can resist taking a nap after studying for 10 min)
2) When it comes to studying I suffer from a bit of Jekyll and Hyde. I’m known for keeping calm but when I am studying I have the shortest fuse ever. I can’t ruin my rep by studying in public :p

@Zee you are quick on the uptake.

Really the hardest part is actually picking up my books and walking out of the door.

Noticed quite a few CFA candidates ‘camping’ in costa canary wharf recently. Might be motivating to see others working hard.

I prefer studying at home because like @Zee said, everything’s right here.

Also because my mom keeps my belly full all the time 😛

@diya because of reason #2. Because I study at cafes precisely for that reason. So that I control my temper. 2 sides of the same coin?

@Sophie but cafes have lots of targets that I can skewer but my books take my beatings obediently….
I might try out a cafe now…..
But I think I’ve developed a habit of studying with only music as background noise.
So many bad habits…

@diya, I’m so out of touch of K-pop bands I must admit! There’s a new one everyday and they almost look the same LOL. I like jazz a lot actually.

@sophie i’m still slightly behind and there aren’t many days left.

I have to get outside to be productive. As far away as possible from any means of napping.

You should see Starbucks near the Marks and Sparks.

Part of it is currently under renovation and it’s always packed ! Prefer costa.

@diya you can try headphones! I used to use these large ones…

@diya Go for the in-ear headphones they are much comfortable.

@Zee to be perfectly honest I find headphones uncomfortable to wear …
I just a pair of glasses and had to have it reshaped 3 times until I was satisfied. I’m too fussy to go through the process of finding headphones I can deal with.

Sounds like me. I send myself out immediately and no coming home until it’s done. Separates home and work really.

Yea I saw those around a lot too. But not much of a carry-my-music everywhere person, because it’s likely I will miss a stop on the tube/train!
